Hi, sisters! It’s been such a long time since my last Proverbs 31 Wardrobe feature! Life is complicated right about now so it’s been a challenge balancing clinical rotations with finding times to take blog pictures! Nevertheless, I thank you all so much for all the love and support on Instagram and for bearing with me during periods where I do not post often. Today I am so excited to introduce a new friend of mine and her fashion line! Meet Ifiok, also known as @m.a.dkollection. MADKollection is a African inspired brand based in Manchester, but able to ship worldwide. All of her pieces are handmade and tailored to your body. The process of getting this jumpsuit made was so easy. I simply visited her website https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/MADKollection, chose a style and fabric, and gave her my measurements. It took less than 10 minutes to make the order and Ifiok had this beautiful jumpsuit made within a week! I was absolutely blown away when I first tried it on. The fit was perfect and the jumpsuit was exactly as pictured on her site! It was chic and modest and I had so much fun styling it for this Proverbs 31 Wardrobe feature. Check it out below and if you are interested in getting a jumpsuit, visit the store. Ifiok has been so gracious to offer my readers 10% off anything in the store. Simply use the discount code “feefe10” at checkout!
For the first styling of the jumpsuit, I kept it very simple with the thought that this style can be worn for casual events. To get the direct link to the jumpsuit on her site and to custom make your jumpsuit, Click Here. I kept my jewelry simple by wearing a classic stud with matching pendant. I didn’t want to take away from the jumpsuit so I paired it with a simple 4-inch open toe heels Find similar heels HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, or HERE. If you do not already have heels like these, I believe they are great investments as they can be worn with so many things. I kept this same shoe on for the other two looks I’m sharing today just to show their versatility.
For my second style, I chose to incorporate my love for midiskirts and skirts in general to accomplish a look that can be worn to church or important events! One of the easiest ways to change the look of a jumpsuit (or even a maxi dress) is to cover it with a long skirt. I had this black bow trim pleated long skirt for a really long time and to be honest I forgot about it until I got my beautiful jumpsuit and was toying with styling ideas. This skirt is ~$30 from Shein and it comes in black and burgundy. If you are interested, get yours HERE: Black Bow-Trim Pleated Long Skirt.
For my third styling of the jumpsuit, I had a night out in town in mind. I wanted a look that was casual, yet fun and chic. The easiest way to accomplish the look I had in mind was to add a black faux leather bomber jacket which instantly transformed the jumpsuit into a night-time city look. Again I kept my jewelry simple and rocked the same black heels. This bomber jacket is one of my favorites and you can find similar ones at Forever21 by clicking HERE or HERE.
Thank you for checking out today’s Proverbs 31 Wardrobe feature! I hope this post opens your mind to view your wardrobe differently. Do not be afraid to play with your clothes and mix and match the pieces. Also incorporate color and patterns! This ankara jumpsuit from m.a.dkollection is a great start to doing just that. As always I want to encourage you all to shop small businesses. Follow @m.a.dkollection on Instagram because she’s always giving out discount codes, special sale offers, and giveaway opportunities that you don’t want to miss. It takes a lot of courage for someone to put their brand out there so when you see people using their talents, support them and the Lord will bring you people to support you in yours. I truly want to thank Ifiok for this added flavor in my closet. The only thing hard about the process of getting this jumpsuit was choosing from all the lovely pieces at the store https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/MADKollection!
