Guess Who’s Back?

March 20, 2018

I’m back!!  And I came back with someone, but we will get into that later. I’ve truly missed blogging. The funny thing about my leave of absence from blogging was that it was completely unintentional. It just happened, but I have to admit that while it was happening, I did not try to forcefully keep blogging. I remember when God laid it upon my heart to blog that I told God that I never wanted to write anything that was not ordained by Him. It has never been my intention to blog just for the sake of blogging. You see God made it perfectly clear in the Bible that we will one day give an account of every word we say and God forbid I show up before God one day having said and blogged things that were outside of the Will of the Lord. I do not want to lead anyone astray with the platform the Lord has given me so I constantly pray for the fear of the Lord to govern my decisions. While I was away on my unintentional break, I had the privileged of facing other areas of my life. I’ve literally been busy “adulting”. For me, the year 2017 could have been termed ” The Transition Year”. Everything happened so quickly and the adjustment period was real! To briefly sum it up, I entered courtship with an amazing man, graduated pharmacy school, took my board exams, started working full-time, got engaged, and started wedding planning all within one year! It may not seem like much on paper, but each of these events required time, effort, lots of prayer and seeking the Lord’s face for direction, and my undivided attention. It appeared as though God just wanted me to grow up both physically and spiritually and I am back with so much to share!

I recently said YES to the dress!! I’ll be sharing wedding details so stay tuned!

So what’s coming to the blog. First, I will be doing a lot more writing. God has taught me so much to share with His daughters and it’s time to get real and personal. I intend to write about everything related to dating/courtship and marriage, living out your purpose, balancing a career with other passions, pursuing holiness, sex and abstinence, digging deep into the Word of God and preparing for eternity. I’m also opening up to you all to let me know what issues you are facing so that together we can pray for one another and form a strong sisterhood in Christ. In addition to all the write ups I will still be sharing Proverbs 31 Wardrobe features, with styles focusing on modesty at church, at school, in the work place etc. The goal is to embody the Proverbs 31 Woman so this part of the blog will also deal with our emotions, character, and powers as a woman. With everything coming to the blog, if you haven’t yet, please do subscribe to get email notifications when new posts are up. Also follow along on instagram if you haven’t yet. Let’s connect and enjoy this sisterhood. I am excited and ready for what God is about to do and I hope you are too. So long story short, I’M BACK! Let’s go!

Love ♥

Sabbaticals are so renewing and reorienting! So delighted you leaned into the *unintentional break*. For sure, those are major transitions that require your full attention. I’m looking forward to the topics your mentioned. I’m big on self-nurture through soul care and self-care, so I’m always interested in the topic of making space to love self as we go about the business of loving God and others. Shalom, and I celebrate you, siStar! ✨
