Meet My Husband, Victor!

March 31, 2019

When 2017 started, I was as single as anyone could be. The only thing that was on my mind was finishing my pharmacy rotations, graduating, taking my board exams, and officially becoming a pharmacist. I had  been content in my single season, spending quality time with myself and with the Holy Spirit and doing everything the Lord placed on my heart. I started my blog, launched Proverbs 31 Wardrobe, was involved in the outreach ministry of my church and was the  praise and worship leader in my church. Privately I was also learning how to take care of myself health wise and dabbling in other activities such as cooking.  I was simply BUSY and thus the reason why dating (other than God instructing me not to date) was not a priority to me. However, when 2017 began, there was a part of my heart that was searching for something more that only God could understand and do. I found myself asking God about my husband. I knew that when the time was right God was going to present me to Him and somehow, I just knew that he was close to finding me. On the first Sunday of 2017 , January 8, 2017, I started the New Year in God’s presence as always and by the time I got back home after service, Victor’s message was waiting for me on Facebook! (lol!) Who would have thought, but here we are now! We met, courted, and got engaged within 9 months, but I knew he was my husband from the moment we met.

The question now is, “FeeFe, how did you know that Victor was your husband?”. The answer is that he came the way God told me he would come. He was and still is a very genuine person. He wasn’t coming for a girlfriend, but for a wife and he made his intentions known and clear from our very first phone call. He had a vision that matched what God had already shown me and he came ready to love me as Christ loves His bride, the church. Above all, I had PEACE. My prayer to God in my single season was for God to let me know His choices by engulfing those choices in His peace. The Word of God says, “the blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich and  He addeth no sorrow with it” -Proverbs 10:22, thus the things that God gives cannot come with drama, confusion, doubts, fear, etc. None of those things are fruits of the Spirit nor characteristics of the Lord for  God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33) and  God has not given us the spirit of fear ( 2 Timothy 1:7).  My heart was convinced and my spirit was at peace so I yield to the Spirit of God and Victor and I proceeded with our relationship. So, here are five (5) amazing things about my handsome husband!

1. My husband is Nigerian and from the same tribe (Ogoni) as me. I remember telling God that I will NEVER marry an Ogoni man. (LOL!)

2.My husband is an IT expert and loves all things related with computers, which is awesome because now he helps me maintain my blog and fix all sort of things. Together we started our own company: https://www.lasixy.com

3. My husband is a happy man. He has such a high sense of humor and loves happy people! 🙂

4. My husband is a great cook and also a foodie! Thank God he loves my cooking too 😉

5. My husband loves music and he plays the piano. Once upon a time he was a DJ!

There is so much more amazing things about Victor and I couldn’t have prayed for a better partner. God truly had me in mind when He formed him and his love for me is truly a depiction of the overwhelming love of Christ. I know there are many good men out there so I’m forever grateful to God that He granted me the privilege of marrying one of His sons.  God is so faithful! I hope you’ve learnt a little about my husband from today’s post. Please don’t forget to subscribe to the blog to get notifications and follow along on instagram!
