Proverbs 31 Wardrobe Ministry (P31-WM) was started in 2014 in an attempt to encourage Christian women to honor the Lord with their bodies by dressing modestly. The motto of P31-WM is “clothed with strength and dignity found in Proverbs 31:25 and if you click here on the Proverbs 31 Wardrobe Ministry Features Page, you’ll see that we strive to be just that. Casual and dress-up outfit inspirations are shared here to show godly women that it is possible to be fully covered yet beautiful. The ultimate goal of P31-WM besides encouraging women to be godly, fashionable, and modest, will be to grow P31WM into a ministry that caters to the needs of the children of God. The Bible says
“I was naked and you clothed me”-Matthew 25:36
therefore we will clothe our brothers and sisters, we will supply spiritual support and material support to anyone in need. In addition, we will strive to supply domestically abused women and women from low-income houses with clothing they can use to build back up their self-esteem. Proverbs 31 Wardrobe Ministry will also provide free modest outfits, including shoes to support women with job or school interviews as they work towards rebuilding their lives. We do all of this to show forth the love of God and to remind our brothers and sisters that God has not forgotten about them. We are the hands and feet of Jesus Christ and like Job, I want to be able to stand before God one day and say
“Have I refused to help the poor, or crushed the hopes of widows? Have I been stingy with my food and refused to share it with orphans? No, from childhood I have cared for orphans like a father, and all my life I have cared for widows. Whenever I saw the homeless without clothes and the needy without nothing to wear, did they not praise me for providing wool clothing to keep them warm?”- Job 31:16-20
I pray that the things that break the heart of the Father will also break our hearts. If the mission of Proverbs 31 Wardrobe Ministry aligns with your heart, then join me! As we grow we will be needing a lot of support in both prayers, clothing donations, and manpower. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few therefore pick a part of the field, and let’s get to work in the Father’s vineyard.
“Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.”- Matthew 25:40
